PLVision – a custom software product development company specializing in computer networking, embedded systems, and IoT connectivity – is wrapping up a year of significant growth and success.
2021 has marked several key accomplishments for PLVision. The company moved to the next level by growing its brand recognition and actively developing open networking innovations as a part of the open-source community. PLVision also added new prominent customer accounts to its portfolio and expanded its collaboration with existing clients.
The company’s major achievements this year include the opening of a new office in Kyiv, gaining membership in the Open Compute Project (OCP), development of its SAI Challenger solution, and presenting it at the 2021 OCP Global Summit. Another key milestone by PLVision, as a member of the DENT ecosystem, was working with Marvell on SwitchDev driver implementation and DENT OS development for their Prestera® Ethernet switch platforms. PLVision is continually expanding its engineering capabilities. In addition to offices located in Lviv, Odesa, Kharkiv, and Krakow, the company has opened a new, growing development center in Kyiv, Ukraine, led by Delivery Director Dmytro Kyselyov.
Overall, in 2021, PLVision’s team experienced significant growth, reaching a total of over 160 skilled professionals. The company has continued fostering educational innovation through its Modern Computer Networking course available for computer science students at the Ukrainian Catholic University in Lviv since 2019, as well as through its own SONiC Camps, with 8 of them held this year.
This August, PLVision became a member of the Open Compute Project (OCP), a global collaborative community focused on redesigning hardware technology to efficiently support the growing demands on compute infrastructure alongside networking industry leaders.
The company’s leadership team visited this year’s OCP Global Summit to discuss collaboration with existing and potential clients. The biggest highlight of the visit was Andriy Kokhan’s well-received presentation of SAI Challenger, a SONiC-based test framework developed by PLVision and previously showcased for OCP SONiC, SAI and Networking project communities.
Our time at the 2021 OCP Global Summit once again confirmed that PLVision has the experience necessary to meet market demand with its SONiC Care and DentOS/Switchdev development offerings. The company is also well-positioned to address emerging trends like SONiC DASH for IPU, DPU, and the SmartNIC segment as well as SONiC NOS customization and support.
“As the new year approaches, I would like to take this moment and thank each of PLVision’s team members and customers for their tireless efforts in building the future of connectivity, said Olena Kozlova, PLVision’s сo-founder and CEO. “This year was filled with great challenges and extraordinary achievements, including the growth of our expert team, development and presentation of our own SAI Challenger, collaboration on DENT OS and SwitchDev development for Marvell’s platforms. PLVision takes pride in the recognition it has gained as a leading networking design house delivering superior value to our customers. We are excited to enter 2022 with strong motivation to empower the industry with our cutting-edge services and solutions.”
