In 2020, PLVision, a product development services company, specializing in SDN, NFV and IoT connectivity software R&D, marks 13 years since its inception. The company celebrated an important, historical milestone in its dedication to serving global networking product businesses and ambitious startups, helping them gain and strengthen their competitive edge and open new markets.
Over the past several years, the company found strong market traction with its network operating system development expertise, focusing on open-source solutions: SONiC, Stratum and DENT/Switchdev. Throughout 2020, PLVision succeeded in significantly expanding existing accounts while adding new customers to its portfolio that include prominent switching hardware and software vendors.
To secure the health and safety of the company’s professionals during the pandemic, PLVision transferred its headquarters in Krakow, Poland, as well as the development offices in Lviv and Odesa, Ukraine, to a remote work model, causing no disturbances to everyday operations.
The company continued its ongoing commitment to innovative education, with on-the-job training initiatives as its focus. PLVision’s SONiC and Linux Future programs attracted many skilled engineers who were looking for growth and challenges. Many program graduates are already engaged in the company’s projects, developing cutting-edge networking solutions based on SONiC and Switchdev.
“We entered our 13th year as a mature, specialized business with a well-known brand among switching silicon vendors and a portfolio of in-demand key service offerings,” said Olena Kozlova, PLVision Co-founder and CEO, at a virtual, company-wide celebration. “Combined with our well-developed digital channels for business development, this made us well-prepared for the turbulence of 2020. I am proud of our outstanding team of experts who accepted the challenge and made our recent achievements possible.”
