Summary
At PLVision, we are driving the open networking transformation. We partner with top silicon vendors and telecom leaders to build custom, disaggregated network solutions using open-source technologies like SONiC, SAI, and DentOS. We are looking for an Automation Engineer to help us scale our quality infrastructure. In this role, you won’t just be executing tests; you will be architecting automation frameworks, writing Python code, and building the CI/CD pipelines that validate next-generation Network Operating Systems (NOS) across diverse hardware platforms.
Responsibilities 
Design & Architect: Build, scale, and maintain robust automated test environments and CI/CD pipelines to ensure continuous quality for cutting-edge open networking products
Develop in Python: Write clean, maintainable Python code to engineer new automated test scripts, tools, and libraries that extend coverage for L2/L3 protocols and new NOS features
Innovate Tooling: Architect internal tools and automation frameworks to streamline software builds, integration, and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) testing
Automate Execution: Automate comprehensive test suites for SONiC/SAI software across a variety of hardware platforms (switches, SmartNICs)
Collaborate & Integrate: Partner closely with software engineers to translate product requirements into executable automation code and automated test strategies
Analyze & Optimize: Integrate automated regression tests into continuous integration workflows, capturing actionable telemetry and logs to accelerate software debugging and performance optimization
Troubleshoot Infrastructure: Act as a key technical resource to troubleshoot and resolve complex CI/CD, build dependency, and hardware/software integration issues
Requirements 
Automation Engineering: 3+ years of commercial experience as an Automation Engineer or SDET, with strong proficiency in Python programming
Linux Expertise: Deep knowledge of Linux administration, shell scripting, and advanced system troubleshooting
Networking Foundation: Solid understanding of computer networking, particularly L2/L3 protocol implementation and TCP socket programming
Communication: Intermediate or higher technical English for effective collaboration in a global engineering environment
Would be a plus 
Familiarity with open networking ecosystems like SONiC (Software for Open Networking in the Cloud) or SAI (Switch Abstraction Interface)
Experience building automation for Network Operating Systems (NOS)
Hands-on experience with virtualization, Docker containers, and microservices architectures (highly relevant for cloud-native NOS like SONiC)
Advanced understanding of the Linux networking stack (e.g., tc, iptables, netns)
Proven expertise in designing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI)
Background in embedded systems, application development, or hardware integration
