PLVision, a European leader in open networking technologies, and UfiSpace, a global provider of disaggregated networking hardware, announced a strategic partnership to bring PLVision LTS for SONiC® to UfiSpace’s switch platforms. The partnership covers hardware-software integration, lifecycle management, and joint activities aimed at operators moving Community SONiC into production data center fabrics.
What This Means for the Market
Deploying Community SONiC in production takes more than the upstream source code – operators need a validated software baseline, supported hardware, predictable patching, and accountable engineering support. PLVision LTS for SONiC enables operators to run SONiC with that stable baseline and structured lifecycle support, and this partnership extends that path to UfiSpace’s open networking hardware. Data center operators, regional cloud providers, and telecom operators building whitebox leaf-spine fabrics gain a qualified hardware-and-software combination without having to own the full SONiC lifecycle themselves.
For telecom operators and data center providers, the impact goes beyond technical compliance. Bringing together UfiSpace’s hardware portfolio and PLVision’s SONiC lifecycle engineering gives network teams a shorter path from evaluation to production – scaling fabric capacity, rolling out new services, and adjusting to shifting traffic patterns without waiting on a single vendor’s release cycle or building SONiC expertise in-house.
Two established players in the open networking space bringing their engineering expertise together means fewer integration surprises for the operators and a more predictable foundation to build for maintaining service quality as market demands change.
Oleksii Kuzmenko, Chief Business Development Officer at PLVision: ‘Partnering with UfiSpace lets us bring PLVision LTS for SONiC to hardware operators already know and trust, closing the gap between Community SONiC and a fabric that’s actually ready for production.’
Fennie Chang, Assistant Vice President of Business Development at UfiSpace: ‘This partnership gives operators deploying our switches a validated, supported path to run SONiC in production, backed by PLVision’s lifecycle engineering and support.’
Expanding the Validated Hardware Ecosystem
UfiSpace joins this initiative as a key hardware ecosystem provider, demonstrating interoperability with switches spanning leaf, spine, and combined leaf/spine roles already qualified against PLVision’s SONiC baseline. PLVision and UfiSpace expect to expand the hardware compatibility list as the partnership progresses.
General availability is planned for the end of 2026; early access for lab trials opens in October 2026 – operators interested in evaluating PLVision LTS for SONiC on UfiSpace hardware can reach out to PLVision to register interest.

About PLVision LTS for SONiC®
PLVision LTS for SONiC® is a long-term support solution that turns Community SONiC into a production-ready baseline for enterprise data center fabrics. It combines a validated SONiC release, a hardware compatibility list, lifecycle management, and engineering support in a single product, giving operators a defined deployment blueprint, documented feature set, and a dated lifecycle – security patches and critical fixes delivered as tested releases rather than something to track down upstream.
